Comparing 2016 Focus to the 2016 Honda Civic
The 2016 Honda Civic boasts Honda LaneWatch, advanced safety features and                               innovative HondaLink technology

LaneWatch Technology
According to the Honda website, theavailable
LaneWatch technology for Civic monitors one
side of the vehicle only and displays live video
on the touch screen, revealing 4 times more
than the passenger-side mirror alone.

  With BLIS®(Blind Spot Information System)(1)
on Focus, the driver is alerted when an
approaching vehicle enters the blind spot on
either side of the vehicle. Honda's LaneWatch
system only monitors the passenger side of the
vehicle.
AND, Focus offers these features that Civic
doesn't offer:
    • Active park assist
    • Lane-keeping system
    • HD RadioTM with iTunes®(2) Tagging
When traveling, blind spots occur on both sides of
the vehicle, not just one. That's why BLIS in Focus
is a clear advantage over the LaneWatch system
in Civic - because it covers both the right and left
sides of the vehicle. Plus, Focus has additional
technology features the Civic doesn't offer like
active park assist, lane-keeping system and HD
Radio with iTunes tagging.
 Safety
Honda Civic emphasizes its dedication to
advanced safety designs and features.
Focus also hasa long list of standard safety
and security features AND two additional
features that Civic doesn't offer:
    • Industry-exclusive MyKey®
    • Standard driver's side knee airbag(
3)
MyKey lets themaster key owner limit the
radio volume, vehicle top speed and set other
restrictions - a tremendous feature for customers
who have young drivers. Best of all, it's a safety
feature that Honda Civic doesn't even offer.
Innovative HondaLinkTechnology
The Honda website promotes HondaLink for
the Civic, suggesting that it supplies a seamless
digital hub with smartphone-like functionality.
Not only does SYNC®with MyFord Touch®*(4)
provide smartphone connectivity, it offers
several features that HondaLink doesn't:
    • Voice control of the climate control system
    • Ability to recognize thousands of
conversational voice commands
Unlike Civic'sHondaLink system, SYNC with
MyFord Touch, available for Focus, allows you
to control the climate control system using
conversational voice commands. So you can say
"climate temperature 70 degrees" and get on with
your trip.

* Denotes an available feature.
(1) Driver Assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle.

(3) Always wear your safety belt and secure children in the rear seat.
(4) Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle control. Only use SYNC/MyFord Touch and other devices, even with voice commands, when it is safe to do so. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
