Get to know the powerful Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup

If you have some heavy-duty trucking needs, the popular Ford F-150 and F-250 might not be strong enough, but don't fear! There's an even bigger option, and it's called the Ford F-350.

How much can the F-350 tow?

The 2018 F-350 is a work horse. With conventional methods it can tow up to 21,000 pounds! That's a lot when you consider that the F-150 tows up to 13,200 pounds.

All Super Duty vehicles (which include the F-250, F-350, and F-450) have fifth-wheel and gooseneck towing capabilities, which help you bring along even heavier items. When you utilize the fifth-wheel on the F-350, you'll get Best-In-Class towing up to 32,000 pounds! For another comparison, the F-250 can tow up to 18,500 pounds with the fifth-wheel.

What is the payload?

Towing gets a lot of attention, but it's also important to consider the payload (i.e., what you can put in the truck's bed.) The F-350 has a payload rating of up to 7,630 pounds, which is Best-In-Class; that's over 3,000 pounds more than the F-250!

Tell us about the configurations!

You might think a pickup this beefy has a lot of limitations on how you can configure the bed length and cab style, but that's not the case here.

For truck beds, you can get one that is either 6.75-feet long or one that is 8-feet. There are three cab styles which include the Regular Cab, SuperCab, or Crew Cab. We'll help you find one that fits your needs.

Anything else worth mentioning?

Of course! Aside from brute strength, the F-350 has many available features that make owning a truck enjoyable. There are safety technologies that protect your truck and whatever you're trailering, a backup camera views that help you see into your truck bed, a useful trailer guidance system, and a massively innovative truck bed that has plenty of available features for lighting, entry, and easier hauling.
