What to Look for In the All-New Ford Bronco

For decades, the Ford Bronco was one of the most iconic vehicles on the roads. After a decade-long hiatus, the popular two-door SUV is back. The new Bronco is sure to win over fans who want the capability of a 4X4 with the compact sportiness of a two-door SUV.

The new Bronco expected to debut on the auto show circuit in the spring of 2020 and will be available in dealerships during the fall of 2020. According to experts, the Bronco has been undergoing extensive all-weather testing. Spy shots reveal that the shape of the Bronco will look much like its predecessors. This is great news since so many new SUVs are filled with lots of curves. It's nice to have an SUV with an aggressive "old school" squared-off look.

There are no announcements on powertrains for the Bronco. However, you can expect the Bronco to get one of Ford's excellent Ecoboost engines. Currently, there is a 3.6-liter six-cylinder that generates 290 horsepower on the Explorer which is expected for the Bronco as well. If that 3.6-liter goes into the Bronco, then you can also expect 0 to 60 mile-per-hour numbers in the mid-six-second range.

When it comes to capability, the Ford Bronco has a legacy of power and capability for Pleasanton and San Ramon drivers. Spy shots show that the Bronco will have LED daytime running lights and 4X4 capability. If the Bronco is equipped with a 3.6-liter six-cylinder engine, the tow rating on the Bronco should be comparable with the Explorer.

On the safety front, the Ford Bronco is expected to offer the Ford Co-Pilot 360. This safety suite of features brings a number of advanced features to Ford vehicles including BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping System, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, a rearview camera, auto high-beam headlamps, adaptive cruise control, Evasive Steering Assist, and Enhanced Active Park Assist.

It is expected that the Bronco will start at around $30,000 with a top-of-the-line model going for somewhere north of $40,000. The Ford Bronco will be available at Livermore Ford Lincoln in Livermore very soon. As a top dealer in the Fremont and Dublin, CA regions, Livermore Ford Lincoln should have a wide selection of 2021 Ford Broncos available.
