How Does Leasing Work?
Think of leasing as renting your car from the car dealership. You submit an application to the dealer with the help of the dealer’s financial consultant, who will submit your application to their bank partners on your behalf.
Once you get approved for a lease, you complete all the necessary paperwork, including signing your lease contract. You drive home your choice vehicle, if available, afterwards.
The dealer may or may not require you to give a downpayment. Depending on your credit information, you’ll pay monthly payments during the lease term based on the approved interest rate.
You’ll have mileage limitations and cannot alter, customize, or resell your vehicle during your lease. At the end of the lease, you can return the vehicle, buy it from the dealer, or replace it with a newer model and draft a new lease contract with the dealer.
Leasing can cover some of your maintenance and repair costs during the lease period, as stated in your contract.
